ADDING TRIMS TO YOUR TOTE BAG

Welcome to one of the most easiest DIY’s I have created!

I have been looking at my straw tote bag for some time now thinking it is just a bit boring and is missing some detail to it. So I though why not add some trimmings onto the bag to give it some colour and add on a layer of texture.

What you need:

  • Straw tote bag
  • hot glue gun
  • trimmings of your choices

What to do:

  • Measure on the bag from the top to where you want your first line of trimmings to go. I went for 7cm so the trimmings would go under the button loop. Use this measure as a guideline to get a straight line when applying the trimmings.

  • Apply a small amount of hot glue onto the back of the trim and stick in place. Repeat this until your have made your way back to the beginning. Repeat this step with the number of trimmings you desire.
  • Once you are happy with the design, clean up any hot glue.

And just like that you are done! I told you it was easy 🙂

Now that your bag is ready to go, fill it up with your belongings and go enjoy the day!

I hope you have enjoyed this quick DIY and don’t forget to tag #Camelliadesigns with your gorgeous creations.
